Poplar

Poplar, a very close relative to Eastern Cottonwood, is a large tree that grows with flowering clusters on its branches. Poplar has been known to grow upwards of 165 feet tall and up to 5 feet in width. The average Poplar lives for only 50 years, while some have been known to live up to 150 years. Poplar is considered a hardwood, but it is on the softer side of hardwoods. Keeping this in mind, it is important to use proper finishes on the wood to ensure its durability!
